2026 Missoula High School Football Coverage
One season. One story. Told chapter by chapter.
For the 2026 season, Shots Bye Taylor Gameday is taking a new approach to football coverage. Instead of treating each game as a standalone mixtape, the goal is to document the full story of the season — the games, players, atmosphere, turning points, personalities, wins, losses, and everything that makes a season memorable.
THE CONCEPT
This isn't a collection of separate highlight videos. It's one continuous story.
Each covered game becomes a new chapter. Throughout the season, those chapters will be released as individual long-form YouTube episodes with a more cinematic, documentary-style approach than traditional highlight coverage. At the end of the year, the strongest moments and storylines from those episodes will come together into a full-season film.
WHAT EACH GAME ADDS TO THE STORY
Cinematic game-day coverage focused on more than just the biggest plays
Sideline, player, crowd, celebration, atmosphere, and behind-the-scenes moments
Story-driven editing that reflects what happened that week and where the team is in its season
A dedicated long-form YouTube episode
Short-form Instagram content designed to promote the episode and drive viewers to YouTube
Footage archived throughout the year for the final season film
THE FINAL SEASON FILM
The weekly videos are the chapters; the end-of-season film is the complete story. Rather than simply stitching together highlights, the goal is to create a longer documentary-style piece that follows the team's journey from the beginning of the season through its final game.
Because the story is being built throughout the year, each game matters. Rivalries, breakout performances, adversity, team chemistry, senior moments, playoff implications, and other storylines can develop naturally instead of trying to recreate the season after it is already over.
2026 COVERAGE PLAN
The goal is to cover every home game in Missoula that scheduling allows, with the possibility of select away games for major matchups, rivalry games, or other important points in the season.
INVESTMENT
Coverage will be priced on a per-game basis for the team/program rather than charging individual players or families.
Target range: $550 per covered game
The goal is to create a straightforward season plan with the parent representative or program contact.
Additionally, most to all home games will be covered by at least 2 separate camera operators, providing more complete coverage to tell the whole story.
OPTIONAL PLAYER CONTENT
Team coverage is separate from individual player packages. At the end of the season, families who want a video centered specifically on their athlete will have the option to purchase a personalized player film using footage collected throughout the year. Depending on the player's goals, that could take the form of a cinematic season highlight, traditional mixtape, recruiting-focused piece, or a more personal story-driven edit.
PRESEASON / PRACTICE COVERAGE
To tell the story of the season effectively, SBTG would like to begin coverage before the first game.
The goal is to attend one preseason practice per team to capture the preparation, personalities, and environment surrounding the program before the season begins. This footage would help establish the team and its identity in the opening chapter of the season, rather than beginning the story at kickoff of Week 1.
Practice coverage would focus on cinematic, documentary-style footage of drills, team interactions, coaching, and preparation while remaining as unobtrusive as possible.
WHY ACCESS MATTERS
The more complete the access, the more complete the story can be.
SBTG’s 2026 coverage is designed to document more than touchdowns and highlights. Practices, preparation before kickoff, and the moments surrounding the game provide the context that turns game footage into a genuine season story.
The goal is to earn that access through professionalism and trust throughout the season while always respecting the boundaries established by each program.
WHY THIS APPROACH
High school football moves quickly, and a lot of what makes a season special happens outside the final score. The goal of SBTG in 2026 is to preserve those moments while also creating something people genuinely want to follow each week.
By the end of the season, the team won't just have clips from a handful of games. They'll have a record of the season itself — something the players, families, and program can revisit long after the final game.
